I can apply my techniques and ideas to almost any kind of subject matter and request.
Sometimes the commissioner gives me free hands to do as I please. Other times it is a result of my ideas and what you want. So there are many ways we can do this depending on your wishes and my aditional ideas.
Portraits have the best result when done from live. that doesn’t mean that you have to sit for all hours, but what I normally d is to make some preparatory sketches and take some photoes while we talk and get to know eachother better. This will animate the portrait and make it more interesting and unique captering more sides of you.
This painting is an example where the comissioner gave me free hands to work in my own right incorporating, as always, some elements that characterize or has meaning to that person. It was comissioned by a Danish actress to her husband, who wanted to have his wife included being such a big part of his life. They are both actors, and him, being fond of the sea, I choose to make her dress look like the sea and to incorporate his favorit fish in a egyptian-like pattern behind them. Also the greek geometric design in the background refers to the theaters upheaval, and finally the green color is his favorite. The door is an element from their house, but the curtains were my idea, accidentally reminding him of his childhood home.
The price of any commision depends upon size, support, tecnique, content and the complexity of the subject matter. So prices are higly suggestive and indicate a minimum price (in Euro’s)
