I wanted to do something for the neighborhood, to bring some joy and laughter and at the same time involve the people in the project. So what I would do was to stop people on the street and make them do a pose of their choice leaning up against the wooden wall. I would then outline them and invent objects or sometimes surroundings to the image. At times I would also let people paint what they wanted, which is the case of the flowers and hot air balloons, done by children. An elder couple was depicted as though standing in a boat why the admiral cap and because of the seemingly romantic feeling I got from them I added stars in the background. My friend helped me with the crocket yarn done around thick strings of iron wire and fixed with nails to give the images a more tridimensional and interesting look. (unfortunately, young people had a great time pulling these decorations off the wall). I did receive a lot of credit and many good wishes and compliments from people participating and those passing by. It was worth it and I hope to do it again sometime.
Somebody called the lokal newspaper and they made an article about it. Later I was called up by the newspaper of Florence. The photos below unfortunately are taken with a poor camera.
