About Me
Tina is a Danish visual artist who has lived and worked in Florence for almost 20 years. Her artwork is a curious mix of her Danish roots and a personal clash with Italian culture.
You will find a straightforwardness and a feminist approach dealing with hippocracy, gender hierarchy and sexual taboos: an awkwardness, a tension that can be challenging. Many of her paintings also bear witness to an inner conflict with a patriarchal society in which women, from a Catholic point of view, are still caught in the juxtaposition between the Madonna and the whore.
